As you might have noticed there haven’t been many caricatures posted here in a while, but here are two self-portraits I painted last week. I like the way the colors turned out on the second one more than the first one, but they are both experiments.
Tomorrow morning at 11:10 am(GMT +1:00) I have my plain to Washington DC and from Washington DC I’ll fly to Cleveland airport, Ohio. My arrival at Cleveland is scheduled on 18:19 pm (local time).
Keep folowing my blog upcoming week, because I’m going to try to upload some pictures or drawings every day, to keep you guys updated.

Hi Folks!
In about three weeks I’m Leaving Europe for a week, when I’m going to Sandusky, Ohio in the United States, where I will attend my second ISCA convention. The convention starts on Monday the 2nd November with the registration and Ice-breaker reception, and continues during the weak with all kinds of stuff like the 4 amazing special guest speakers (Sam Viviano, Tom Richmond, Mark Fredrickson and Hermann Mejia) from the MAD usual gang of idiots, the amazing workshops and seminars about almost everything involving drawing caricatures and of course the convention room, where we’ll draw each other 24/24 during the 6 day’s of the convention. The convention ends with the awards banquet on Saturday the 7th. This year convention is even more exiting because it’s in the largest indoor water-park of the US and I’m going one day early for enjoying the thrill rides in Cedar point, one of the best amusement parks in the world. More about all this later, I’ll try to keep my blog updated everyday during my stay, with some fresh pictures and amusing story’s, so… Stay tuned!!
As you might have noticed I didn’t upload any new caricatures on my blog in about a month, this is because I’m having it really busy with my education on the college for fine arts in Ghent, where I’m painting. I’ll try to upload some pictures of my first works this week and I’ll try to make some time to draw some caricatures this weekend.
For the ISCA menbers, see you on the con!!

At this moment the convention room is filled up with artists who have been drawing already for the whole day and some of them will also continue drawing during the night. At this first real day there where already seminars by Jason Seiler and Jan Op De Beeck.

Today we decided to visit downtown Raleigh and unsuspected I had the unique historical opportunity to attend Obama’s race in Raleigh. After waiting two and half an hour in line we made it to the place Obama was speeking to the audience. This was an amazing experience. There were thousands of people suporting Obama.

Today we went to Winston-Salem, it was a City with a nice architectural new part and a green old part. For getting there we hired a car and had an accident, but nobody was hurt. And we got a new car from the rental service.

We had our plane in Brussels at 10pm (local time) and arrived in Chicago at 2am, we had already been flying for about 8 hours. We had 2 meals and lots of soft-drinks. In Chicago we had to wait for three hours to catch our connecting flight to the Raleigh-Durham area, North Carolina.
In those long hours of waiting I read some stuff, and ofcourse drew!
Tomorow we’ll rent a car and visit the smokey mountains.
