My cat, enjoying the warmth of my bureau lamp, while I’m studying.
My best wishes…
Here’s a sculpture I made about a year ago. I dressed him up a bit for the occasion :p
I wish all of you a Merry Christmas and a good and healthy 2010.
Safely arrived in Sanduski, Ohio

Hmm what a day, and where to start… I got up early this morning at 6 am, went to the airport and on 11:10 am the airplane descended for what would be an 8 hour flight to Washington DC. Although the trip took long it wasn’t uncomfortable at all. This because we were carrying the litle Sakura with us which delivered us a privilege for seats with some extra leg space. Other than that, the food was pretty decent and the movies were good. Arriving in Washington DC there was a crazy dressed women wishing us a nice stay in the United States, I almost forgot it was halloween, more about that later… The first thing I ordered when I arrived after this long flight was…
…Strawberry Cream, couldn’t have been much better.
Meanwhile it was already time to catch up with my next flight onto Cleveland, Ohio.
The landscape of the kingdom sky.
The City Cleveland, from the airplane.
In Cleveland a shuttle took us to the final destination, the Kalahari resort. Amazement was the only word who could possibly describe what it was. A huge Building with all under one roof the water park, an arcade zone, the shopping, the hotel, the convention room and possibly even much more… This building is for the moment filled with dressed up children knocking on each door for “Trick or Treat”.
Tomorrow I’m going to Cedar Point, one of worlds best amusing parks, stay tuned, I’ going to try to shoot a video on that.
Pub Crawl 09

Yesterday I went to Pub Crawl 09, Pub crawl is an anual caricature artists gathering in Eidhoven, the Netherlands. By noon we met at Harold’s Cartoon shop, had a coffee and afterwards we went drawing at a local pub. We drew the whole afternoon and afterwards we went to the restaurant where we had a nice meal. These meetings are always fun, as you can share experiences, techniques, make fun with each other.
C.U. 2009

For the third time in a row the Caricaturists United minicon in the Netherlands was organised and I went for my second time. It was a great experience and a perfect mix of drawing and making fun. I even got an award for the third best caricature in the coloured caricature competition and came home with lots of beautifull drawings.
The last evening

The last evening there was a banket an auxion and ofcourse the big moment of the golden nosey.
Bronze nosey: Brian Oakes
Silver nosey: Glenn Ferguson
Golden nosey: Jason Seiler
On this last evening we also haded our caricatures to the people who where on it. Some pictures of these will soon be filed under Caricatures and Me by others. It was a lovely and great NCN convention.
I’m missing it already!
The convention started

Yesterday the convetion was officially opened with “the ice breaker” reception, where everybody starts with some first sketches and networking with other artists. At this moment the convention room is filled up with artists who have been drawing already for the whole day and some of them will also continue drawing during the night. At this first real day there where already seminars by Jason Seiler and Jan Op De Beeck.
Obama Race in Raleigh!!

Today we decided to visit downtown Raleigh and unsuspected I had the unique historical opportunity to attend Obama’s race in Raleigh. After waiting two and half an hour in line we made it to the place Obama was speeking to the audience. This was an amazing experience. There were thousands of people suporting Obama.
A day in Winston-Salem

Today we went to Winston-Salem, it was a City with a nice architectural new part and a green old part. For getting there we hired a car and had an accident, but nobody was hurt. And we got a new car from the rental service.
